My partner and I had been monogamous for over 20 years, and we opened up because we both wanted the freedom and expansiveness we hoped non monogamy would bring. Several months in, I was struggling and feeling a lot of daily distress. Rather than getting easier, my non monogamy journey was getting harder, and I felt shame about not being "good" at non monogamy. That's when I found Irene, and I'm so glad I did! She guided me to slow down the process and tune in to my nervous system. My partner and I are both so grateful to have an approach to non monogamy that isn't about white knuckling through, but rather about building resilience in ourselves and with each other. We're moving more slowly and gently in our process now.

The time I spent with Irene effectively moved me forward on my path by helping me to understand my body and how it speaks to me regarding my pleasure, my needs,  my emotions and my relationships.  In the beginning I struggled with my pleasure, feeling ashamed, confused and trapped in past trauma, all of which affected the relationship that offered everything I ever wanted but was unable to be fully present in.  I was trapped in my head not really listening to what my body was trying to tell me.
